Maritime Compliance Policy
EFFECTIVE DATE: JUNE 11, 2026 | STANDARD PROTOCOL ID: MC-2026-V1
1. Environmental Stewardship & MARPOL Compliance
Liage Maritime mandates a zero-tolerance policy regarding marine pollution. All fleet vessels fully comply with the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL Annexes I through VI).
Our tankers are equipped with advanced double-hull configurations, closed-loop vapor control systems, and state-of-the-art ballast water treatment systems to prevent ecosystem disruption. Main propulsion units burn low-sulfur marine gas oil (MGO) or are fitted with exhaust gas cleaning scrubbers.
2. Operational Safety & Safety Management System (SMS)
We execute all operations under the International Safety Management (ISM) Code. A comprehensive, shore-backed Safety Management System defines crew responsibilities, emergency response procedures, and lines of critical communication.
Crew members undergo continuous training, including survival craft operation, fire fighting, cargo handling procedures, and damage control simulations. Weekly onboard drills maintain high operational readiness.
3. Anti-Bribery, Sanctions & Legal Integrity
Our commercial fixtures undergo strict sanctions screening. We warrant compliance with the regulations of the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the European Union, and the United Nations Security Council guidelines.
Liage Maritime prohibits the chartering of vessels for cargos originating from or destined to sanctioned jurisdictions, or involving sanctioned entities, maintaining absolute compliance with global anti-money laundering (AML) and anti-bribery policies.
4. Independent Auditing and Inspections
Compliance is verified by major classification societies (such as DNV and ABS) through regular hull thickness surveys, engine efficiency trials, and safety gear inspections.
Our commercial operations are audited annually by independent vetting inspectors. Results are submitted directly to the vetting desks of major energy corporations to maintain our chartering credentials.
Access Vetting Records
Energy companies can request access to our current SIRE vetting reports, ISO 9001 certificates, and classification society classification histories.
